CHARITY PROJECT

In the last few weeks we have been working on a charity project in the English class. If you continue reading I will explain you our idea. 

First of all our English teacher told to bring some information about different organizations: about animals, people in need, enviroment... in the U.K. Everybody brought lots of differnt charitable organizations

Then we chose some of the, and we made Power points explaning what the charity was about and what we could do to raise money for it. We had many great ideas but in the end we chose ''What`s in the jar''

''What`s in the jar'' consits on guessing the exact number of sweets that there are in a big jar (that the high school lend us). But you have to pay 1 euro for participating. We did many activities to promote this idea in order to do it the best we could. For example: we made wonderfull posters and tickets, we bought the sweets (i swear the were delicius), we wrote letters to the charity and also to the Principal.

Eventually everything went really well, I enjoyed a lot the experiences and I have learnd at the same time. We raised more than 100 euros for ''Cáritas''. The winner was Paula Ruiz from 4ºB that 

guess the exact number 877 sweets.

And now a piece of advice: If you could do something to help others, do it!

MY ABILITY

One of my abilities is to find things.

I have more abilities like memoriced the personal life of other, but i found more interesting to write about the first one . I hope you enjoy reading and feel identificated with the next text

Everything startes with my family. I live with a little bit upsetminded family, so they always demand my help to look for their things and i started to find all the things they lose

how can I do it? It´s very simple. First. I usually have an idea where the thing can be and then i look for it, and  finally I find it.

I always feel proud of myself but there´s a little problem I never find my own things :O

And I never have benefits like money or a sweet, just a ''good job'' from my mother, but it´s enought

I know a lot of people with this ability. For example mothers who say: '' I´m sure that if I look for it I will find it in a second'' And they do!!

Well and this all about my ability. Hope you like it ;)

PLANNING THINGS

Hello World! do you want to know how i'm going to pass this Christmas holidays? OK if you're interested continue reading...

First I'm going to pass Christmas Eve with my father´s family. Is awesome because they were living in Canarias and now they are here, in SEVILLE! Then I will go to Badajoz with my mother's family. All of them are lovely but I'm eager to see my cousin Ignacio. In Badajoz I'm going to buy around  2 kilos of ''polvorones''!!! because there's a shop that makes the best ''polvorones'' of the world (trust me)... well is just my opinion. I came back to Seville to spend the New Year with my best friend and our families. It will be AMAZING!

I'm going to try to enjoy this Christmas and think about New Year's resolutions..

CHRISTMAS IN SPAIN

Hello, my name is Cristina I'm working on a project about Christmas in Spain at Nestor Almendros's school. This is how we celebrate Christmas: EATING! :))

In Spain we celebrate Christmas decorating, going shop window, but also eating. We used to sit around a table with our family, ralatives or friends and with a lot of food. The most tipical food at this time are:



-Sea food  (like: crab, shrimp, lobster...)












Polvorones (mass of: flour, butter and sugar)   

  Mantecados (sweet dessert)

 ''Roscón de Reyes'' ( we only eat this when the three wides men come)

Mazapanes (made of: almond and sugar)

 Turrón (it can be: white chocolate, black chocolate, cholate with milk and always withs almonds inside)

Castañas ( chesnuts)

''Uvas'' (grapes) we used to eat 12 grapes the 31 st of December at Midnight

I hope you lern a few things of our food at Christmas time and you visit Spain soon,because this is a beutiful country with lots of traditions to enjoy.

SCARY STORY

This is the story of a rich family from New York. They were Tom, the father, Jane ,the mother, Kate that was the older sister and Aston the younger brother .They were looking for some places to go on Halloween’s bank holidays. They found a beautiful castle in the mountains of Russia .But then they found a legend that says that the castle was enchanted. However they decided to go.

The family arrived to the castle the 30^th of October .It was dark and foggy ,it was very difficult for them to found the hotel, but finally they could. There and old woman ,with a very bad aspect and very bad tempered welcomes them. They looked around and the hotel was dirty ,old ,empty and smells really bad .The woman gave them the key .Their bedroom was in the last floor ,they went upstairs and they could see the cleaner ,a young handsome boy called John ,Kate felt in love at the moment with that guy. So she present herself and started to talked .The rest of the family entered to the bedroom ,Next to it there was a bedroom that in the door says “Private Room”. They had a look at the room and they saw on the top of the chimney a picture of a family in black and white ,Kate realized that there was a boy that looked like John ,but she didn’t care very much about it. So they put  on their piyamas and they went to sleep because they were tired.

All the family was sleeping,when suddenly Aston,the younger brother ,heared some strange noises and decided to look along the corridor.He didn’t find anything so he went back to bed .

The door closed by itself ,and the wind banged the window against 
the wall. Afterwards the picture felt down and they were able to see the year that the photo was taken ,1803. Aston was urprised because the photo had three centuries and after that Kate was afraid and she runaway  looking for John,but she didn’t find him anywhere ,later she decided to enter in the private room ,there she saw John and the old woman.Kate wanted  to hugged John ,but she couldn’t because that room was the spirits room .John appeared with a knife on his hand and killed Kate ,she knew his secret .The family saw the death body  so they runaway back to New York .And from that moment every night they had nightmares with the spirits and with the death body of Kate .

THANKS GIVING DAY

Dear Family:

Today, i will like to write a beutifull letter giving thanks to my family, because they always help and suport me, and I spend lot of special moments with them

I remember when we went to a cruise in summer holidays and I was sick with stomage ache all the trip. But anyway you were at my side giving me healthy food and medicines, telling me the stories of the ship... Whith this story I just want to say that you are all the time giving me love and It is now my turnt to show you and tell you that I love you so much. Now I realise all the good things you did for me and you still doing.

For all those unforgetable moments, that influence in the kind of person that I'm now, thank you so much
